Brøndby coach Frederik Birk voiced his disappointment with his team’s performance against Torshavn, particularly after taking an early lead through Filip Bundgaard. Birk noted that the team lost their grip on the game, allowing Torshavn to capitalize and ultimately equalize shortly before the final whistle; despite the draw, Birk commended Torshavn for their physicality, power, and commitment, the second leg is slated for next Thursday, with Brøndby playing at home.
FC Midtjylland also found themselves in a precarious position after drawing at home against Hibernian, the Scottish side took an early lead after seven minutes, putting the Danish team on the back foot, Aral Simsir’s free kick in the 70th minute salvaged a draw for Midtjylland, preventing a defeat.
