The Conservative party, the Danish People’s Party, the Denmark Democrats, and the Liberal party on Bornholm have formed an electoral alliance for the first time. This collaboration aims to prevent wasted votes among center-right parties and signals their willingness to cooperate and find solutions on the island.

According to the Liberal party of Bornholm chairman, Michael Hornshøj, this alliance is purely technical. He emphasized that there are no political agreements associated with the alliance.

The Denmark Democrats, founded in 2022 by Inger Støjberg, did not participate in the 2021 municipal elections. In those elections, the Conservatives allied with the Christian Democrats and the Social Liberals.

The Danish People’s Party joined forces with the Bornholm List in 2021, while the Liberal party was in an electoral alliance with New Right and the party Lower Taxes and Fees.
