Kasper Krogh, Berlingske’s society editor, is leaving the newspaper to become a leading editorial manager for documentaries and investigative journalism at Danmarks Radio (DR). He will begin his new role on August 11.
Pierre Collignon, editor-in-chief at Berlingske, acknowledged the loss, recognizing Krogh’s skills and experience. Collignon described Krogh as an important figure at Berlingske, whose absence will be felt.
In addition to Krogh’s departure, Birgitte Borup, the culture editor, will step down from her leadership position to become a commentator in the debate section. Borup will also focus on developing Berlingske’s live events. Tom Jensen, Berlingske’s editor-in-chief, praised Borup’s work as culture editor and expressed pleasure that she would continue to contribute to the newspaper in her new capacity.
Berlingske has already appointed Henrik Jensen, currently deputy editor on the Christiansborg editorial team, as the new society editor, effective August 1. Jensen has been with Berlingske since 2011, with experience in rapid news and investigative journalism. Collignon highlighted Jensen’s ability to improve content while maintaining ethical standards.
The newspaper is now seeking a new culture editor and a new deputy editor for the political section and has posted an advertisement for the culture editor position. The search for a deputy editor for the political section will commence soon.
