Attempted Murder Investigation Launched After Stabbing on North Jutland Motorway

A 29-year-old man was seriously injured in a stabbing on the North Jutland Motorway Friday evening, prompting an attempted murder investigation by North Jutland Police. The incident occurred between Bouet and Nørresundby North, and authorities are appealing to the public for information.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing and is scheduled to appear in court for preliminary questioning.

Police were alerted to the situation after receiving multiple reports of both a traffic accident and a stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered the 29-year-old victim, whose relatives have been notified of his condition.

The 19-year-old suspect is believed to have been involved in the attempted murder, though specific details of his involvement have not been released.

Investigators are seeking witnesses who may have seen or heard anything related to the incident. They are particularly interested in individuals with dashcam footage who were in the area at the time of the crime.

Police believe the victim was chased from a parking lot at Kvickly Ekstra in Nørresundby onto the motorway between 9:20 PM and 9:45 PM. They are urging anyone who was present in the parking lot during that time to come forward.

Authorities believe the attempted murder is linked to an ongoing local gang conflict.

Deputy Police Inspector Niels Kronborg stated that the case is being taken “very seriously” and is being investigated “at full speed.” He added that additional arrests may be made and that there will be a visible police presence around Aalborg as a result of the incident.

Witnesses are encouraged to contact the police at 1-1-4.
