A 24-year-old man has been apprehended in connection with a suspected attempted murder that occurred on the North Jutland Motorway Friday evening. North Jutland Police announced the arrest via press release.

The incident is believed to be linked to an ongoing gang conflict in Aalborg. According to Deputy Police Inspector Frank Olsen, authorities have been intensely searching for the suspect since the deeply serious incident occurred.

A 29-year-old man was seriously injured from a stabbing incident, but his condition has since been reported as stable.

Police responded to multiple reports Friday evening concerning traffic accidents and a stabbing on the North Jutland Motorway between Bouet and Nørresundby North. Upon arrival, officers discovered the 29-year-old victim with serious injuries.

The police believe the victim was chased from a parking lot in Nørresundby onto the motorway.

Authorities are seeking information regarding a Toyota Aygo that may have been used in connection with the incident. The vehicle may have visible damage. Citizens with information or observations related to the case are urged to contact the police. The police have not specified the 24-year-old’s precise role in the incident. A 19-year-old man is already in custody related to the case.
