A 25-year-old suspect has been remanded in custody following a machete attack on a public street in Aalborg on August 29th. North Jutland Police announced the arrest and detention on Wednesday.
Authorities are also seeking two other men in connection with the incident and have released their names and photos to the public.
The attack occurred on Steen Blichers Gade, where individuals in a car were assaulted by men wielding machetes. The incident was filmed, and the video has been widely circulated.
Initially, some suspects were released due to insufficient evidence for pre-trial detention. However, after further investigation, the 25-year-old suspect arrested on Wednesday morning was ordered to be held in custody for four weeks.
Police believe the attack stems from a conflict within the gang environment. Prior to releasing their names and photos, police had warned the wanted men that they would be publicly identified if they did not turn themselves in. The two men being sought are aged 26 and 22 respectively.
