A total of 85,508 people applied for higher education before the quota 1 deadline, which passed on Saturday at 12:00 PM, according to the Ministry of Higher Education and Science.
The application numbers include both quota 1 and quota 2 applicants. The deadline for quota 2 applications was in March.
Here’s a list of the ten most popular higher education programs this year:
- Master of Science in Engineering: 4301 applicants, a decrease of four percent compared to 2024.
- Pedagogue: 4011 applicants, an increase of one percent compared to 2024.
- Medicine: 4001 applicants, a decrease of three percent compared to 2024.
- Bachelor of Engineering: 3719 applicants, unchanged from 2024.
- Psychology: 3710 applicants, an increase of one percent compared to 2024.
- Business Economics: 3662 applicants, an increase of six percent compared to 2024.
- Nurse: 3348 applicants, a decrease of eight percent compared to 2024.
- Law: 3244 applicants, an increase of nine percent compared to 2024.
- Primary School Teacher: 2527 applicants, an increase of three percent compared to 2024.
- Financial Economist: 2422 applicants, an increase of ten percent compared to 2024.
