Allan Feldt Withdraws from Citizens’ Party and Parliamentary Candidacy

Allan Feldt, the businessman behind the Aqua d’Or brand, has withdrawn his candidacy for the Citizens’ Party in the upcoming parliamentary election and resigned from the party. He announced his decision in a Facebook post, citing concerns about the party potentially contributing to wasted votes for the right-wing bloc.

Feldt expressed his belief that recent opinion polls indicate no need for another right-wing party, raising the risk of fragmenting the vote and hindering the formation of a center-right government. He emphasized his desire to unite, rather than divide, the right-wing bloc.

Feldt was the first candidate announced by Lars Boje Mathiesen for the Citizens’ Party. The Citizens’ Party gained official approval from the Ministry of the Interior and Health in mid-January after Mathiesen, a member of parliament and former chairman of New Right, secured the required 20,195 voter declarations to qualify for parliamentary elections.
