Danish police recovered eight stolen Soundboks speakers thanks to AirTag tracking during the Roskilde Festival. The Midt- and Vestsjællands Police reported the successful recoveries.
The investigation began Sunday at 11:08 when a 22-year-old man reported his Soundboks stolen. An AirTag hidden inside the speaker revealed its location in Hørve, approximately 50 kilometers from the festival grounds.
The man went to the address indicated by the AirTag and found a group of 30 to 40 people from Romania with multiple Soundboks speakers. He then contacted the police.
Upon arrival, police discovered six stolen Soundboks speakers. Due to the inability to identify the specific thieves, the speakers were seized as found property.
Further investigation led police to a nearby address where they found two more stolen Soundboks speakers. A 38-year-old woman at that location was charged with theft. The 22-year-old victim from Køge was able to confirm that his stolen Soundboks was among those recovered by the police and taken to the station.
