AGF has secured Rasmus Carstensen on loan from FC Köln for the upcoming season to bolster their defensive and wing options. The club announced the acquisition on its website, highlighting Carstensen’s experience and potential impact.

Carstensen, 24, brings a wealth of experience despite his relative youth. He previously played for Silkeborg, accumulating 89 appearances and contributing two goals and 24 assists. Furthermore, he has 23 Bundesliga matches under his belt with FC Köln.

In the spring, Carstensen experienced success on loan with Lech Poznan. He played a crucial role in their championship-winning campaign in the Polish league.

“Rasmus will strengthen the competition in our defense and on the wing,” stated AGF’s football director, Carsten V. Jensen. He emphasized Carstensen’s valuable experience from both the Polish league and the German Bundesliga. Carstensen’s last appearance in the Superliga was in the 2022/23 season, marking his return to Danish football.
