AGF has announced an agreement to sell midfielder Mikael Anderson to a foreign club. The Aarhus-based team confirmed the news on its official website Wednesday.

Anderson has been granted permission to travel and discuss personal terms with the undisclosed club and undergo a medical examination. The identity of the club remains unknown at this time.

Anderson, who rejoined AGF in the summer of 2021 from FC Midtjylland, had recently extended his contract with the club in January. He has played 121 first-team matches for AGF.

Before returning to Aarhus, Anderson also played for Vendsyssel FF and Dutch Excelsior. He developed into a prominent figure in the Superliga.

Anderson is a member of the Icelandic national team, which he has represented since 2017, after previously playing for Danish youth national teams.
