An accident involving three cars on the East Bridge of the Great Belt Bridge (Storebælt) has caused substantial traffic delays Saturday afternoon. The incident, reported to police at 1:12 PM, initially aimed to move the vehicles to the emergency lane to maintain traffic flow.
However, the situation escalated, leading to a complete blockage of traffic heading towards Zealand (Sjælland).
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, according to the duty officer at South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police, further contributing to the extensive queue. Traffic remains slow.
