Aalborg Carnival to be Monitored by Police

North Jutland Police are implementing temporary surveillance measures in areas hosting the Aalborg Carnival, commencing this Saturday. This extensive effort aims to ensure a secure and enjoyable festival for all participants and residents.

A substantial and visible police presence will be maintained throughout the carnival. The goal is to prevent disturbances and foster a sense of security for both attendees and the wider community.

In addition to increased patrols, surveillance will be heightened in key areas such as Kildeparken and along Vesterbro in Aalborg, as well as other relevant routes. Drones will also be deployed to provide aerial monitoring during the parade.

Both uniformed and plainclothes officers will be present throughout the event. Dialogue officers, identifiable by their yellow vests, will be available to provide assistance to those who need it.

The Aalborg Carnival, marking its 43rd iteration, is recognized as Scandinavia’s largest carnival, attracting approximately 100,000 visitors annually.
