Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte attended the annual Gråsten Ring Riding procession on Sunday, continuing a long-standing royal tradition. The event took place in Gråsten, where the royal family is spending their summer.

Gråsten Ring Riding is an annual event held every year on the third weekend in July, accompanied by festivities over several days. This tradition, steeped in history, has roots in medieval knight tournaments and is celebrated in several towns in Southern Jutland.

Queen Margrethe is a frequent summer guest at the palace. The Queen traditionally gathers with her sisters, Princess Benedikte and former Queen Anne-Marie, at Gråsten Palace during the summer months.
