Hvidovre secured a 1-1 draw against B93 in their opening match of the 1st Division season, marking Martin Retov’s debut as head coach. The match took place after the summer break.
B93 initially took the lead in the first half with a goal from Mikkel Wohlgemuth, who scored with a well-placed shot from distance.
Hvidovre responded quickly with a header from new signing Ayo Simon Okosun, leveling the score. Okosun’s goal came just minutes after B93’s opener.
Martin Retov, previously with AC Horsens, took over as Hvidovre’s head coach following Per Frandsen’s departure.
Meanwhile, HB Køge had a successful premiere, securing a victory against Hobro. Christian Tue Jensen scored two goals in the match. Last season, HB Køge narrowly avoided relegation.
