Danish Series “The Reservation” Among Netflix’s Most Watched in First Half of Year

The Danish miniseries “Secrets We Keep,” originally titled “Reservatet,” has become a major hit on Netflix, ranking among the most-watched series in the first half of the year. Released on May 15th, the show garnered nearly 34 million views in just two months, securing the 21st position on Netflix’s list of most-watched series.

The ranking was revealed in conjunction with Netflix’s semi-annual report released Thursday evening. “Secrets We Keep” is set in an affluent community north of Copenhagen and centers around the mysterious disappearance of a Filipino au pair.

The British series “Adolescence,” released in March, tops the list with approximately 145 million views. Following closely behind are seasons two and three of the South Korean series “Squid Game,” with 117 million and 72 million views, respectively.

Netflix’s revenue experienced a 16 percent increase in the second quarter compared to the same period last year, reaching $11.1 billion.
