A police patrol car crashed on Bornholm Wednesday evening while pursuing another vehicle, resulting in the hospitalization of two officers. The incident occurred at 9:26 PM near Hotel Nordlandet, between Sandvig and Allinge, as confirmed by Bornholm Police via social media platform X.

The two officers involved in the crash were immediately transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have stated that their injuries are not life-threatening.

The accident transpired while the patrol car was actively engaged in a pursuit to stop another vehicle. Due to the crash, the police were unable to apprehend the pursued vehicle, according to Bornholm Police. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident thus far.

As a direct consequence of the crash, Strandvejen is currently closed to traffic in both directions. Bornholm Police announced the road closure on X and stated that they will not be providing further comments at this time.
