AGF Strengthens Attack with Loan of Sebastian Jørgensen

AGF has bolstered its offensive lineup by securing winger Sebastian Jørgensen on loan from Swedish club Malmö FF for the entire upcoming season. The Superliga club announced the acquisition just six days before their season opener.

Jørgensen, 25, returns to Denmark after a stint in Sweden, aiming to rekindle the form he displayed during his successful tenure with Silkeborg IF. Prior to his move to Malmö in the summer of 2023, he scored 17 goals in 68 Superliga matches, forming a formidable attacking trio.

AGF’s director of football, Carsten V. Jensen, expressed optimism about Jørgensen’s potential impact in Aarhus. He highlighted Jørgensen’s offensive capabilities, recalling his pivotal role in Silkeborg’s impressive bronze-winning season, where he consistently contributed goals and assists.

Jensen emphasized Jørgensen’s strong decision-making, technical skills, and overall understanding of the game, anticipating a positive influence on the team.

Jørgensen himself expressed enthusiasm for the move, viewing it as a crucial step in revitalizing his career. He aims to demonstrate his high level of play and make a significant contribution to AGF.

AGF is set to face Sønderjyske in Haderslev on Sunday for their first match of the season.
