FC Barcelona has acquired attacking player Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen, with the Swedish teenager signing a contract that extends until the summer of 2029. The Spanish club made the announcement on its website on Monday.
Bardghji, 19, was previously under contract with the Danish champions until the end of 2025. Recent rumors had linked him with a move to Barcelona.
His past season was significantly impacted by a severe knee injury, which sidelined him for ten months. He returned to the field at the end of March, after recovering from the injury he sustained during a training session in March 2024.
Bardghji quickly made an impact on FCK’s team after turning 16 and becoming eligible to play.
Since then, Bardghji has experienced both highs and lows with FCK. Notably, he scored the winning goal in FCK’s 4-3 victory over Manchester United in the Champions League in 2023.
