Significant traffic congestion is currently affecting Køgevej and the southern part of Vor Frue near the Roskilde Festival area. According to Midt- and Vestsjællands Police, this is primarily due to individuals picking up festival guests.
Police are strongly urging people to utilize the designated pick-up areas to alleviate the traffic issues.
In related news, the traffic police issued 40 fines on Friday to drivers for violations such as crossing solid lines or ignoring no-entry signs.
The police understand the desire of young people to return home but reiterate the importance of using the designated pick-up zones. Unlike previous years, there are no speed reductions implemented in the Roskilde Festival area this year.
