AGF has secured Rasmus Carstensen on loan from FC Köln for the upcoming season, as announced on the club’s website. The 24-year-old defender, previously with Silkeborg, brings experience from the Bundesliga and a recent championship win in Poland.
Carstensen’s move aims to bolster AGF’s defense and wing options. AGF’s football director, Carsten V. Jensen, highlights his experience from the Polish league and German leagues as a valuable asset.
Prior to his time abroad, Carstensen played 89 matches for Silkeborg, contributing with two goals and 24 assists. Jensen describes him as an offensive-minded player with a strong work ethic, who significantly impacted Lech Poznan’s championship win.
Carstensen himself expresses optimism about joining AGF. He believes his experiences abroad have made him a better player and is eager to start with AGF, where he will wear number 29. His career path includes stints at Genk in Belgium and FC Köln in Germany after leaving Silkeborg.
