Danish Band Aphaca Draws Large Crowd at Roskilde Festival

The Danish rock band Aphaca captivated a multigenerational audience at the Roskilde Festival on Thursday afternoon, marking their debut performance at the renowned event. Their popularity caused bottlenecks as fans flocked to the Arena stage, filling the tent to capacity almost an hour before the scheduled start.

Reviews from Politiken and Jyllands-Posten lauded the band’s performance, both awarding them high ratings. The concert took place at 2:30 PM on Arena, the festival’s second-largest stage, capable of accommodating approximately 17,000 attendees.

Jyllands-Posten noted the extensive turnout, stating that people were present in every available space, including the roofs of nearby toilet facilities. According to the newspaper’s review, Aphaca seemed genuinely amazed by the size of the crowd upon taking the stage. The audience’s enthusiastic participation, singing along to every lyric, visibly moved the band and created a palpable sense of warmth within the tent.

Originally slated to perform as part of the festival’s First Days program, Aphaca’s performance was elevated to the main lineup in late April, securing their spot on the festival’s second largest stage.
