Swedish activist Greta Thunberg made a surprise appearance at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, turning a music concert into a platform for pro-Palestinian and climate activism. The incident occurred during a performance by Danish pop star MØ at the Arena stage.

Thunberg’s arrival shifted the focus from music to politics as a banner displaying pro-Palestinian and climate-related messages was unfurled. Several individuals were invited onto the stage to participate in the demonstration.

Eyewitnesses reported that some of the people on stage with Thunberg were also involved in a similar protest earlier in the festival during a performance by the Irish band Fontaines D.C. on the Orange Stage. Thunberg reportedly led chants of “free, free Palestine.”

Attendees at the concert offered differing perspectives on the event. One concert-goer described the atmosphere as “more subdued” compared to the earlier protest, while another noted that some people cheered and others left the venue. The demonstration lasted for only a few minutes.
