An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a hand grenade explosion that occurred at a nail salon in Copenhagen in April. He is accused of possessing the hand grenade with another individual before it was allegedly detonated.
The arrest was revealed during a court hearing at the Copenhagen City Court. The 18-year-old’s lawyer stated that his client pleads not guilty.
During the hearing, the 18-year-old declined to answer questions about the case, citing fatigue and hashish use. The judge subsequently ordered the hearing to be closed to the public. The 18-year-old will remain in custody until June 12.
The explosion occurred at Do Salon & Do Nails on the night of April 21. The blast damaged several windows, but no injuries were reported.
Previously, police arrested a 19-year-old man suspected of possessing the hand grenade with the 18-year-old and a 31-year-old man accused of detonating it. Both remain in custody.
