Weather Forecast: Best Chance for Sunshine on Saturday, Rain Expected Friday and Sunday

The best day to enjoy the spring sun this weekend is Saturday, according to the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). Meteorologist Anja Bodholdt forecasts that Friday and Sunday will bring showers and rain.

Rain is expected to spread eastward, reaching Zealand in the afternoon and Bornholm in the evening. Jutland is forecast to receive the highest rainfall amounts, between 10 and 20 millimeters, while Funen, Zealand, and Bornholm will see approximately 5 to 10 millimeters. The weather will also be quite windy.

As Saturday transitions into Sunday, the weather is expected to change, beginning in Jutland. Clouds will move in from the west overnight, foreshadowing Sunday’s rain.

Friday will start with sunshine in parts of Jutland and Funen, but the day will generally be cloudy with numerous showers. Showers are expected to be heavy in the afternoon, potentially accompanied by hail, thunder, and strong gusts of wind. Morning temperatures will be just above freezing in Central and Southern Jutland, rising to between 8 and 13 degrees during the day. The showers will gradually decrease in the evening and night, leading into Saturday.

Saturday is predicted to be mostly dry, with sunshine and temperatures ranging from 10 to 17 degrees. The wind will also diminish.

Sunday’s temperatures will be between 12 and 15 degrees, which Bodholdt describes as “not very spring-like.”
