The team, consisting of Vesti, Felipe Drugovich, and Jack Aitken, saw their hopes dashed after numerous setbacks.

Aitken endured a significant setback on Saturday night, spending over 17 minutes in the pit lane due to mechanical difficulties. This lengthy delay eliminated any chance of a high finish. The race concluded prematurely for the team when the car stalled with Vesti driving, leaving them in 20th place and last among the Hypercar class competitors.

Mikkel Jensen also encountered difficulties in his Peugeot, going off track during a safety car period. His team is currently positioned last among the remaining 19 cars still competing.

Nicklas Nielsen, a previous Le Mans winner, offers the best prospect for a Danish victory. As of Sunday morning, his Ferrari, number 50, is in fourth place, trailing the leading Ferrari by one lap.

Kevin Magnussen and his BMW team are striving to improve their seventh-place standing, despite initial aspirations for a top finish. Michael Christensen’s Porsche, Malthe Jakobsen’s Peugeot, and Marco Sørensen’s Aston Martin occupy positions further down the leaderboard. With approximately seven hours remaining in the race, teams are pushing to improve their standings.
