A person has died following a single-vehicle accident on Klim Strandvej near Fjerritslev in North Jutland on Thursday afternoon. Police were alerted to the incident at 3 p.m. after a car crashed into a tree and subsequently caught fire.

Upon arrival, emergency services confirmed that a person was inside the vehicle and had died.

North Jutland Police duty officer Jesper Sørensen confirmed the fatality to the media. The age and gender of the deceased have not been released.

Next of kin have been notified.
