A significant fire erupted at a Falck station in Fredericia on Friday afternoon, requiring an extensive response from firefighters. Authorities anticipate that the blaze will not be fully extinguished until Saturday.
The fire, which started at approximately 2:17 PM, has caused the complete destruction of the roof structure of the Falck station. According to Erik Eg, operations manager at Trekantsområdets Fire Department, the situation is currently under control, although a considerable amount of extinguishing work remains.
At 7:15 PM, 53 personnel from the fire department were present at the scene, working to contain and suppress the fire. The Falck station is situated in an industrial zone on Vejlevej in Fredericia.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was accidental. Rune Nielsen, duty officer at the South East Jutland Police, stated that criminal activity is not suspected. The police believe the fire may have been triggered during the installation of skylights, potentially involving roofing felt.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and conduct their investigation.
