A 58-year-old woman died Thursday afternoon after a single-vehicle accident on Klim Strandvej near Fjerritslev in North Jutland. The car crashed into a tree and subsequently caught fire.

North Jutland Police received a report of the incident at 3 p.m. According to duty officer Jesper Sørensen, emergency services responding to the scene discovered a person inside the burning vehicle.

Police contacted the car’s owner and determined the likely driver was a 58-year-old woman. Formal identification is pending and expected to be completed in the coming days.

A vehicle inspector is currently investigating the scene to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the accident. The relatives of the deceased have been notified.
