A 51-year-old man has been remanded in custody for four weeks following a preliminary hearing in the Court of Aarhus, facing charges of unlawfully detaining and abusing a 61-year-old man. The alleged incident occurred over approximately 15 hours, from the evening of April 12th to the afternoon of April 13th, at two different addresses in Viby J near Aarhus.
East Jutland Police report that the deprivation of liberty was allegedly carried out with an unknown accomplice. The victim was reportedly subjected to violence, threats, and extortion during his captivity.
According to the indictment, the 61-year-old man was allegedly punched in the face and bitten by a dog on his leg and hand.
The suspect denies the charges against him. Due to the preliminary hearing being held behind closed doors, details of the man’s explanation and the evidence presented by the police are not publicly available.
