A 32-year-old man has been placed in pre-trial detention in connection with an alleged rape that occurred in Køge in mid-May. This marks the third arrest in the case, according to Midt- and Vestsjællands Politi.
The man will be detained until July 3rd, per court order. Two other men are already in custody related to the same incident.
The alleged rape was reported on the morning of May 13th by a woman who stated she was attacked in her apartment on Gymnasievej.
Following the report, police launched an investigation that included dog patrols to search the area and several arrests.
The investigation also involves reviewing surveillance footage, conducting technical examinations, and carrying out interrogations.
While the 32-year-old man was previously charged, he was only brought before a judge on Friday for a detention hearing. The police have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
