3F Aalborg, a sponsor of AaB, has decided to continue its commitment to the football club after receiving reassurance from the club’s management regarding recent turbulent events. The decision follows a meeting where AaB management provided an account of the situation and after recent announcements of changes in management.
The sponsor had previously expressed dissatisfaction after AaB’s relegation from the Superliga and allegations of bullying involving a former coach.
3F Aalborg had demanded an explanation from AaB regarding the alleged bullying incident involving former coach Menno van Dam.
The recent departure of Jan Peters as chairman of the board and the withdrawal of the German investor group Sports Strategy Excellence 22 (SSE22) from active involvement in AaB’s operations have seemingly contributed to 3F Aalborg’s renewed confidence.
3F Aalborg emphasizes that it will closely monitor the club’s development over the next two years, including sporting results, management decisions, and the club’s values.
AaB director Michael Tuxen Boll expressed relief at 3F Aalborg’s announcement, emphasizing the club’s respect for 3F’s values and commitment to the community. He stated the club’s commitment to meeting expectations.
3F Aalborg’s sponsorship agreement with AaB is valid for two more years.
