AaB is actively seeking a new sporting director and head coach following a period of turmoil and relegation to the 1st Division. The appointments come after chairman Jan Peters and the ownership group SSE22 stepped down from daily operations Wednesday evening.
Vice chairman Kim Jacobsen stated that finding a quick solution is underway, with the immediate focus on securing a new sporting director. Jacobsen emphasized the need for new leadership to steer the club forward and avoid emotionally-driven decisions.
While a thorough process is paramount, a swift resolution is desired. Jacobsen confirmed that the new sporting director will likely be Danish.
Although a Danish profile is preferred for the coaching position, international candidates will also be considered depending on the direction and preferences of the incoming sporting director.
Jesper Brøchner Thing is nominated as the new chairman and will be up for election at an extraordinary general meeting.
