A 35-year-old man is in critical condition after a traffic accident near Snejbjerg, close to Herning. He was transported to Aarhus University Hospital following the incident Wednesday evening.
The accident occurred when the 35-year-old man, riding a moped, was struck by a 20-year-old male driver at an intersection. The moped driver allegedly failed to yield the right of way.
According to reports, the car impacted the moped on the side as it entered the intersection. The driver of the car was unable to brake in time, and the collision occurred at approximately 80 kilometers per hour.
The Midt- and West Jutland Police reported the accident happened at 10:51 PM on Wednesday. As of Thursday morning, the moped driver remained in critical condition.
Police investigations suggest that the 20-year-old driver did not commit any driving errors. The moped driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Further details about the 35-year-old’s condition are not available at this time.
