Brian Riemer Anticipates Numerous National Team Player Transfers This Summer

Danish national team coach Brian Riemer anticipates a busy summer transfer window with many national team players potentially changing clubs. He emphasizes the importance of these moves being finalized quickly to ensure players are settled and prepared for the upcoming World Cup qualification matches.

Riemer expressed concern that delays in securing new clubs could result in players lacking sufficient playing time before the qualification period begins on September 5. The 74-day period will determine Denmark’s fate and a key player struggling with playing time at the start of the season could have negative implications for the national team.

While acknowledging that the timing of transfers is largely out of his control, Riemer offers guidance and advice to players navigating potential club changes. He stresses the significance of finding a balance between joining a high-level club and securing consistent playing time.

Riemer hopes players will end up at the highest possible level while still securing regular playtime. He cautions against a move to a big club if it means sitting on the bench. He remains available to consult with players throughout the summer, though he recognizes that some deals may be finalized without his prior knowledge.

Several national team players changed clubs during the winter, and Riemer expects even more movement this summer. Possible transfers include Mads Hermansen, Jannik Vestergaard, Jesper Lindstrøm, Mathias Kvistgaarden and Victor Froholdt.
