Former Danish Minister Henrik Sass Larsen has been indicted on charges of possessing thousands of images and film sequences containing child abuse material. The case is scheduled to be heard in Copenhagen City Court on August 21st, with one court day allocated.
The indictment details that Sass Larsen is charged with possessing approximately 2404 images and film sequences in category 1, 5638 in category 2, and around 450 in category 3. Child abuse material is categorized from 1 to 3 based on severity, with category 3 being the most severe.
Sass Larsen pleads not guilty to all charges.
Category 1 material can include images or videos of undressed children. Category 2 involves material such as sexual touching between children or between children and adults. Category 3, the most severe, includes coercion or violence.
The indictment specifies that the possession of the majority of the material is dated to July 5, 2023, at 6:30 PM. Additionally, he is charged with possessing a further three images and 16 film sequences on an iPhone and a laptop on February 29, 2024, at 10 AM.
Sass Larsen is also charged with possessing a child doll constructed with a sexual purpose, described in the indictment as “cut open in the crotch and connected to an electronic control.”
