Andrée Jeglertz to Resign as Danish Women’s National Team Coach After Euro Finals

Andrée Jeglertz will leave his position as head coach of the Danish women’s national team when his contract concludes after the European Championship finals this summer.

Peter Møller, the director of football in the Danish Football Association (DBU), confirmed the departure.

Møller stated that the DBU had been in talks with Jeglertz, acknowledging his quality as a coach and expressing satisfaction with his tenure. Jeglertz indicated his interest in pursuing other job opportunities, and the DBU granted him permission to explore those options.

The DBU has already secured a replacement for Jeglertz.

Jeglertz, a Swede, assumed the role of head coach in 2023, succeeding Lars Søndergaard.

The upcoming European Championship finals will be Jeglertz’s first and last major tournament as the team’s head coach.

During his time with Denmark, Jeglertz coached the team in 21 matches, achieving 13 wins, 7 losses, and 1 draw.
