A 31-year-old school employee has been sentenced to three months in prison and banned from working with children and young people for five years after secretly filming students in a school in the Ringsted area. The Roskilde Court delivered the sentence on Tuesday following the man’s confession to indecent exposure to children.
The man admitted to setting up a hidden camera in the girls’ locker room, which was connected to his phone. The camera captured footage of at least eight students.
Another employee at the school discovered the camera and reported the incident to the police in August 2024. Police arrested the man the same day and discovered a large amount of film and photos with sexual material of children and young people in his home, leading to further convictions.
The Midt- and Vestsjællands Police released a statement regarding the sentencing. The man has appealed the sentence, seeking a mitigation.
