Three individuals, identified as supporters of AGF, were arrested on Sunday evening and charged with coercing fans of Randers FC into surrendering a football jersey and a scarf. The East Jutland Police announced the arrests in their daily report on Monday.
The incident occurred in Vorup after a match between Randers FC and Silkeborg IF in Vejlby, northern Aarhus, where AGF is temporarily hosting games. Police believe the AGF supporters intentionally targeted the Randers FC fans.
According to the police report, the AGF supporters followed a car carrying a group of Randers FC fans after the game. Acting Deputy Police Inspector Flemming Nørgaard stated that the case is being taken very seriously, especially because the victims are young.
The arrested individuals include two men, ages 20, and a 17-year-old boy. Authorities suspect that more people were involved.
Police investigation indicates that a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were threatened into handing over the jersey and scarf when the Randers FC fans stopped in Vorup. The police have also discovered images of masked individuals displaying the stolen jersey and scarf, which were shared with others.
