Denmark is bracing for a potentially wet Sunday with a risk of local cloudbursts across most of the country. The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) has issued a warning for heavy rain and potential cloudbursts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding Bornholm.
The highest risk of cloudbursts is in central, eastern, and northern Jutland, though other parts of the country may also experience them.
While heavy showers are expected, it is uncertain if the rainfall will meet the cloudburst threshold of 15 millimeters in 30 minutes. DMI defines heavy rain as at least 24 millimeters in six hours. If the cloudburst occurs, it would be the first in Denmark in 2025.
