A Danish newspaper, Politiken, has issued an apology following the publication of an inaccurate fact box about author Harald Voetmann. The fact box, intended to provide background information on Voetmann, contained numerous errors, including listing books he did not write and awards he never received.

The newspaper attributed the errors to the use of an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to generate the text. Politiken admitted that the AI-generated fact box was published without proper fact-checking.

Meanwhile, a survey in the Danish trade magazine Folkeskolen reveals concerns among school teachers about the increasing use of AI tools like ChatGPT by students to cheat. Teachers report that detecting AI-assisted cheating is often challenging.
