The Salling Group, which owns Netto, Bilka, and Føtex, has confirmed that theft alarms are being placed on Marabou chocolate in several grocery stores. This measure comes in response to an increase in the amount of chocolate being stolen from these locations.
Christoffer Roslyng Green, a press consultant at Salling Group, stated that rising theft levels have forced the company to implement these alarms and conceal more products. While he did not specify which other items are being targeted, he acknowledged that the situation is not ideal.
Green expressed regret over the necessity of using theft alarms on any goods. However, he emphasized that these measures are currently essential to combat the escalating problem of theft within their stores.
