A 41-year-old man will face charges of attempted murder following a stabbing incident at Aarhus Central Station on Thursday. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on Friday for a preliminary hearing.
The East Jutland Police confirmed the arrest of the 41-year-old man, which occurred immediately after the stabbing of a 23-year-old man in the neck. The incident took place on a platform at the station and was reported to authorities at 4:42 PM.
The preliminary hearing for the 41-year-old suspect is set for 10:00 AM on Friday at the Aarhus Court. Prosecutors will seek to have him held in custody during the proceedings.
As a result of the stabbing, train services between Skanderborg and Langå were temporarily suspended on Thursday afternoon, according to East Jutland Police.
Authorities also confirmed that the 23-year-old victim was transported to the emergency room to receive treatment for his injuries.
East Jutland Police have not released information regarding the 41-year-old man’s plea to the attempted murder charge.
