FC Midtjylland has finalized the sale of Czech Republic international striker Jan Kuchta back to Sparta Prague. The transfer comes after a brief stint with the Danish club, which initially acquired him last summer.

Kuchta’s return to Sparta Prague follows a loan agreement made in January, during which he regained his previous form. During his time with FC Midtjylland, he played 16 matches and scored two goals.

Peter Sand, FC Midtjylland’s football director, acknowledged that Kuchta’s performance did not meet expectations during his time with the team. Sand stated that they were initially pleased with the acquisition, given Kuchta’s track record of scoring goals and providing assists in the Czech Republic.

FC Midtjylland is reportedly receiving around 25 million kroner for the 28-year-old Kuchta, according to Tipsbladet. This results in a profit for the club, as they originally paid 20 million kroner for the striker.
