For years, the Danish Defence Intelligence Service has consistently reported inadequate security at Danish military bases, raising concerns about potential access for spies, saboteurs, and criminals to sensitive weapons and secrets.

Since 2020, the intelligence service has repeatedly issued warnings regarding the vulnerabilities at these bases. The reports, highlighting the continued security shortcomings, were submitted annually from 2020 through 2024.

Despite these recurring warnings, the situation has remained unaddressed. Each report was approved by the incumbent Chief of Defence before being forwarded to the Ministry of Defence, underscoring the awareness of the issue within the military leadership.
