Police in Roskilde are actively searching for a man described as a suspect in a rape case that occurred in a backyard on Hersegade 13 Sunday night. Midt- and Vestsjællands Police reported the incident on Monday, detailing the ongoing investigation.

The victim, a 19-year-old woman, reported that the assault took place at approximately 00:30. She stated that the man forced her into a backyard where he then raped her.

Police received the report about an hour later and immediately launched an investigation, deploying search dogs and conducting inquiries in the area.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen the two individuals or who has information about the man to come forward. The suspect is described as being between 18 and 25 years old, with fair skin and short, brown hair with a fade on the sides. He was wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, and black shoes with white soles and is distinguished by a sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

Police have indicated that surveillance photos of the suspect exist and will be released on social media platform X if he does not come forward.
