Police in South Zealand and Lolland-Falster have uncovered a large warehouse filled with stolen tools and electronic equipment, arresting two suspects in connection with the case. The stolen items, which include brands like Bosch, DeWalt, and Oral B, fill approximately 16 moving boxes.
The arrests occurred on Friday afternoon in Sorring, near Silkeborg, leading police to the warehouse in Hammel. The two suspects, whose nationalities have not been disclosed, are believed to be foreign nationals.
Police are currently registering the recovered items and investigating the full extent of the thefts. The case is being treated as an example of traveling criminals targeting brand new electronic equipment with a high degree of professionalism.
Authorities believe the suspects worked with at least one other individual. The investigation initially focuses on thefts from building supply stores in Ringsted and Slagelse, but the list of affected businesses could grow as the investigation progresses.
Both men have been remanded in custody following a preliminary hearing on Saturday. The foreign control department in South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police are continuing their investigation into the matter. The value of the stolen goods is still being assessed.
