Thomas Bjørn clinched his first individual title on the PGA Tour Champions at the Stifel Charity Classic. The Danish golfer emerged victorious after a playoff against Australian Cameron Percy.
The tournament, held in Missouri, saw Bjørn finish the final round with a score of four-under-par, carding six birdies and two bogeys. This strong performance propelled him into a tie for first place with Percy, both at 12-under-par.
The two competitors then headed to a playoff on the final hole. Bjørn secured the win with a birdie, while Percy finished with a par.
Fellow Dane Søren Kjeldsen also had a noteworthy performance, finishing in a tie for sixth place after a final round of five-under-par.
This victory marks Bjørn’s second trophy in recent months on the senior circuit. In June, he partnered with Darren Clarke to win the American Family Insurance Championship.
