Train service on the Lille Nord line between Helsingør and Hillerød was suspended Thursday morning after a cyclist was hit by a train. The accident occurred at a crossing, impacting service for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Police reported that the cyclist sustained minor injuries in the collision, which took place at the intersection of Agnetevej and Rørtangsvej. Authorities were notified of the incident at 6:52 AM.

According to Lokaltog, the train involved was traveling from Hillerød towards Helsingør. The Head of Security at Lokaltog noted that accidents at unsecured crossings are rare, with only one similar incident occurring in the past three years. These crossings typically feature warning signs and safety measures such as booms or gates.

The train driver was not physically injured but was relieved by a colleague. The Accident Investigation Board has been notified, as is standard procedure in such incidents.
