Ole Dall Steps Down as Editor-in-Chief of Skive Folkeblad After 33 Years

Ole Dall, the editor-in-chief of Skive Folkeblad, will retire from his position at the end of the year after 33 years of service. He assumed the role in the summer of 1992.

Dall is the Danish editor-in-chief who has held his position at the same newspaper for the longest continuous period.

In a statement, Dall expressed gratitude for his time at the newspaper, highlighting his “incredibly exciting journey in the media world.” He mentioned his previous role as a Christiansborg reporter for Berlingske Tidende, followed by his tenure at Skive Folkeblad, which he described as “a strong local daily newspaper with great impact and support.”

Five years ago, Dall and the board of Skive Folkeblad decided to integrate the newspaper into Mediehusene Midtjylland.

Alex Nielsen, CEO of Mediehusende Midtjylland, praised Dall’s dedication and contributions. He noted that “three decades as editor-in-chief is remarkable” and acknowledged the company’s gratitude for Dall’s service, recognizing him as “a great publicist.”

Dall’s career includes training as a journalist in 1984, followed by a position as a political reporter at Fyens Stiftstidende. He then joined Berlingske’s Christiansborg editorial team, eventually becoming political editor before taking on the role of editor-in-chief at Skive Folkeblad.
